I use Photolab for Raw processing/noise reduction and export a 16 bit Tiff to Affinity Photo for final work.Ī comparison of DeepPRIME and DeepPRIME XD. Passing a RAW file through DeepPRIME - even lower ISO files - renders it more robust for any future adjustments, at least for the Canon bodies I have used (5D, 5DII, 5DIII, 5DS). After that all my processing work takes place in ACR and Photoshop. Typically I apply only DeepPRIME to the RAW file which DxO then exports as a dng. In my opinion it is worth buying DxO Photolab just for that reason. I purchased DxO Photolab mainly for the DeepPRIME noise reduction technology. My main processing tools are Adobe ACR (same engine as Lightroom) and Photoshop. If one has Photoshop or Affinity - what is the advantage of this one?ĭoes it replace them - or just another processor before working on the image in Photoshop to finish it?
